This policy explains what information Music ConnectZ ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Music ConnectZ website (musicconnectz.net) and the Music ConnectZ Android app.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: username, email address, phone number (optional), and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Profile & content you choose to add: display details, personas, nationalities, posts, ratings, comments, media, and messages.
- Sign-in via third parties (optional): if you use Google, GitHub, Apple, or another provider, we receive your basic profile (id, email, name, avatar) to create or match your account.
- Age verification (optional): if you verify you are 18+, identity checks are performed by Stripe Identity. We receive only a yes/no result and your verified age — we never store your ID document.
- Payments: card details are entered directly with our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) and are never seen or stored by us. We keep a record of your purchases and membership tier.
- Usage & device data: basic technical data (IP address, app version, activity such as views and rewards) used to run the economy features and prevent fraud.
How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and the app's features (posts, messaging, collaborations, memberships, the in-app economy).
- To process payments, subscriptions, and rewards (Energy, SpinaZ, PromptZ).
- To show rewarded ads and offers you choose to engage with, and to credit the rewards you earn.
- To keep the service safe — preventing fraud, abuse, and reward farming.
- To communicate with you about your account and, if you opt in, digests and updates.
Third-party services
We share the minimum data needed with providers who act on our behalf:
- Stripe / PayPal — payments and (Stripe) age verification.
- Google AdMob — rewarded video ads in the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad delivery and measurement per Google's Privacy Policy.
- ayeT-Studios — the OfferZ offerwall, when you choose to complete offers.
- OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, Apple, etc.) — only if you sign in with them.
- Hosting/infrastructure — Render (backend) and Vercel (web) host the service.
Your choices & rights
- Delete your account at any time in ProfileZ → your data is removed. You can also email us to request deletion.
- Edit or remove profile details and content you've posted.
- Opt out of non-essential emails in Settings.
- Manage ad personalization through your device's Google settings.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we must retain limited records (for example, transaction records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Children
Music ConnectZ is not directed to children under 13, and you must be 13 or older to create an account. Certain features (money betting and adult content) require verified 18+ status.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, signed payment and reward callbacks). No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
